Student Recruitment

Represent UMSL

The UMSL Office of Admissions and the Office of Alumni Engagement collaborate on alumni volunteer programs in which alumni represent the University across the country at local college fairs and recruitment events on campus. Through their volunteerism, alumni have a lasting impact on their alma mater by helping some of the country’s best and brightest high school students discover how they can achieve their personal and professional goals at UMSL.  If you are an alumnus who would like to volunteer at a semi-annual on-campus event like UMSL Day or attend a one-time opportunity such as attending a college night at your community's high school, please fill out the Alumni Volunteer form and someone from the Office of Alumni Engagement will be in touch with you soon. Some volunteer opportunities will require alumni to complete a Sex and Violent Offender Registry Check to ensure that UMSL complies with local and federal laws.

Recommend a Prospective Student

We encourage you to send us the name and email address of anyone you think might be a good 'fit' for UMSL. We will reach out to each student you provide information for and will be sure that the student receives important information about the application and admission process at UMSL. We will send a personalized note to each student letting them know that they were referred by an UMSL alumnus.  If you would like to recommend a prospective student, please forward his or her first name, last name, and email address (or mailing address) to askdrew@umsl.edu. Write 'Alumni Referral' in the subject line of the e-mail message.  Please feel free to recommend as many individuals as you wish. Together, we can continue the legacy and enroll outstanding students to UMSL each year. If you are looking for specific information regarding admission to UMSL please visit the UMSL admissions site.
