African American Alumni Chapter

The task of planning activities that engage and enrich our alumni is one that the African American Alumni Chapter takes seriously. The group consists of alumni who have volunteered to give of their time, talents and treasures to advance UMSL. The African American Alumni Chapter serves as a forum of professional and social networking opportunities for UMSL alumni, students, faculty and staff who are African American or of African descent.

We strive to foster student scholarship and mentorship and promote issues that specifically impact African Americans by offering various community-oriented, cultural, educational and professional activities. Stay connected to the UMSL family by attending upcoming chapter events, searching for friends in the directory and posting a class note to share your good news. New volunteers are always welcome. Contact the University of Missouri-St. Louis Alumni Engagement Office at 314-516-5833 or email alumni@umsl.edu. Your participation shows support for your alma mater. It's a great way to give something back and to reacquaint yourself with former classmates and friends. We look forward to welcoming you at our next event.
