Alumni Awards

Extraordinary alumni deserve recognition. For more than 50 years UMSL Alumni Association has honored individuals who have demonstrated UMSL’s excellence through their outstanding achievements. The UMSL Alumni Association annually seeks and accepts nominations of alumni for the University of Missouri-St. Louis DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD and OUTSTANDING YOUNG ALUMNI AWARD. The selections are made from candidates who have distinguished themselves by obtaining the highest level of professional accomplishments and who possess the highest standards of integrity and character to positively reflect and enhance the prestige of the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

First presented in 1987, the Distinguished Alumni Awards and Outstanding Young Alumni Award are the highest honors bestowed upon an alum by the Alumni Association. Award recipients are publicly recognized at the university’s annual Founders Celebration in the fall.

Across the nation and world, UMSL alumni are leading the way in their professions. Regionally, more than 80,000 alumni are driving the St. Louis economy and contributing to its social well-being. The UMSL Alumni Association is proud to recognize these noteworthy alumni in celebration of their achievements.
