Who is invited to the reunion?

All members of the Class of 1974 are invited.

May I bring guests?

Yes! Guests are welcome but must be registered. Registration fees apply to all attendees. 

Where will the reunion take place?

Most of the Golden 50th Reunion events will take place on UMSL’s campus.

What will the reunion cost?

Registration fees are $35 per person for Friday and $25 per person for Saturday. The reunion fees help subsidize the cost of food, venue and commencement robe rentals for participants.

Are reunion events accessible?

Yes, all buildings where events take place are handicap accessible, as are the shuttles used during the programs. Please let us know of your need for accommodations when you register.

Is transportation provided?

Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from campus. However, we will provide shuttles during the campus tours (Friday), and to and from commencement on Saturday.

Where do I check in when I arrive on campus?

Friday's events will take place in the Touhill Performing Arts Center (map).  Saturday's events will begin at the Millennium Student Center (map). Complimentary parking will be available both days.

What is the dress code?

We suggest business casual. We want you to be comfortable while enjoying your campus tours and visiting with fellow alumni.  For Saturday’s commencement exercises, we recommend comfortable shoes as standing for up to 30 minutes might be required prior to the Commencement ceremony.

What is our role in Commencement?

Golden Graduates are invited to participate in Saturday’s 9:00 a.m. College of Arts and Sciences Commencement ceremony. Members of the class will process in behind the students and be invited to stand and be recognized during the commencement program. Participants will not be walking across stage. Guests will be escorted to separate VIP seating. Many past participants have said this is their favorite part of the reunion!

Can we keep our Commencement robes?

After the ceremony, you will be asked to remove your golden Commencement robes before the Farewell Brunch. You will, however, be able to keep your mortarboard, tassel, and 50th Reunion stoll to remember the day.

When does registration open and close?

Registration opens February 1 and closes Friday, April 19. We may be able to take additional RSVPs for Friday’s events after April 19. Please call the Alumni Office at (314) 516-5833 to inquire.

Can I pay by check?

Yes. The online registration form requires a credit card. If you plan to pay by check, please call the UMSL Alumni Office to register and we will note your intent to pay by check.

What is the cancellation policy?

Sorry, refunds are not available for the 50th Reunion.
