ABOUT THE UMSL ACCOUNTING YOUNG PROFESSIONALS ALUMNI NETWORK

The UMSL Young Accounting Professionals Alumni Network was created in 2016 to address the specific needs of new accounting graduates who are  just beginning their careers. Membership is open to graduating seniors and accounting professionals who have achieved five or less years of career experience in the accounting profession. All accounting graduates – new CPAs, CPA candidates and students – are part of the group and welcome to participate.

The Young Professionals Network is run entirely by young professionals and for young professionals. We organize regular activities for the group that are designed to enhance knowledge, support and grow your professional network.  

Regular events include monthly happy hours, networking nights, mentoring sessions and community service projects.

OUR MISSION

The UMSL Young Accounting Professionals Network mission  is to nurture the professional development and expertise of new accountants. Through a series of informal meetings and activities, alumni  come together to offer mentoring opportunities to ambitious young accounting professionals in the St. Louis region.

Your thoughts count! The UMSL Young Accounting Professionals Network represents  approximately  200  young accountants who live and work in the St. Louis metropolitan region. The Network is eager to engage new accounting graduates in a variety of ways that help alumni connect with each other and to  UMSL’s College of Business Administration accounting program.  To help the Network plan effective programming, please take 5 minutes to complete the UMSL Accounting Young Professionals Alumni Interest Survey.
