College of Education - Advancing Leaders Celebration

Wednesday, August 16, 2023 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM

For over 45 years, the region's leaders have chosen UMSL College of Education to pursue high quality programming.

It was 1978 when Education debuted two high quality programs still going strong today: the Education doctorate, and the Gateway Writing Project as a National Writing Project site.

Twenty years later, the Leadership Academy in Character Education (LACE) began, an award-winning professional development experience for school leaders housed within the Center for Character and Citizenship in the COE.

Join our wonderful celebration of remarkable educational leaders, alumni, and new and continuing doctoral students.  Together we will recognize:

  • 60 years of the College of Education at UMSL
  • 45 years of Education doctoral programs
  • 45 years of Gateway Writing Project
  • 45 years of Marillac Hall as our “home”
  • 25 years of the Leadership Academy in Character Education
  • and so much more.

Enjoy complimentary beverages and appetizers as we reminisce about the good times and look forward to the continuing rise of UMSL COE and our region.

Suggested attire: Business casual

Please RSVP by August 1.
